Chinese Learning Chinese in Australia
Pinyin News reports that the frenzy of teaching Chinese in Australia is just a much hyped craze. 94% of high school students drop out of their Chinese classes before they graduate and 94% of those who didn't are ethical Chinese themselves. Most Chinese people believe that our thriving economy, splendid culture and renowned hot spots will attract more and more foreigners to learn Chinese, no matter what their motivation is.

If I was a Chinese student there, I would have taken the class too. Why not? It'd be easy to pass and it's fun to see how Chinese is taught to natives.
